Personal Information Retention and Deletion Schedule
Last revised: November 1, 2026
This document explains in detail, item by item, the retention periods in Article 3 of the Privacy Policy.
1. While you are a member
Until you withdraw, we keep the information listed in Article 1 of the Privacy Policy for the purpose of providing the Service. However, information with a separate retention period, as in item 3 below, is deleted when that period passes even while you are using the Service.
2. Information handled immediately when you withdraw
| Item | Handling |
|---|---|
| Login state | You are logged out of all devices immediately, and the withdrawn account can no longer be used afterwards |
| Nickname | Immediately replaced with a value that cannot be recognized |
| Profile photo, one-line intro, gender, age range | Deleted or processed immediately so they cannot be recognized |
| Spoken languages | Deleted immediately |
| Mobile phone number | Deleted immediately |
| Device notification receipt information | Use is stopped immediately |
| Chat rooms you took part in | Locked immediately, and the withdrawn member can no longer send messages (the other party can keep seeing the conversation) |
| Video calls in progress | Ended immediately |
Login ID and country information are kept to check for fraudulent re-registration and for statistics, and the actual identity cannot be known from them alone.
3. Information kept for a certain period after withdrawal
| Item | Retention period | Reason for retention |
|---|---|---|
| Payment records (records of payment and supply of goods) | 5 years | Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce |
| Jelly and Gold transaction history, gifting history | 5 years | Kept in line with payment and supply records, and serves as the basis for Gold payment settlement |
| App store payment notification records (subscription renewal and refund notifications sent by Apple and Google) | 5 years | Responding to payment and refund disputes |
| Records of consumer complaints or dispute handling | 3 years | Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce |
| Report and sanction history | 5 years from the date handling is completed | Responding to disputes and checking repeated violations |
| Identity verification information (adult status, and values converted so that linking information cannot be recovered) | 5 years from the withdrawal date. However, 10 years if the member withdrew while permanently suspended | Preventing minors from signing up by circumvention and sanctioned members from re-registering |
| Profile photo fingerprint value (a 64-bit value from which the photo cannot be reconstructed) | 5 years from the withdrawal date | Preventing fraudulent sign-up by repeatedly using the same photo |
| Records of administrators' handling of member information | 3 years | Checking the lawfulness of an administrator's viewing, editing and sanctioning of member information |
| Record of screen capture detection during video calls (the content of the captured screen is not stored) | 1 year from the date of recording | Handling the other party's report |
| Information on the device that received the referrer-code sign-up benefit (a value converted so it cannot be recovered) | 1 year from the date the benefit was granted | Preventing abuse in which the benefit is received repeatedly on the same device |
| In-app notification inbox history | 180 days from the date the notification was created | Checking recent notifications |
| Service access records (access IP, etc.) | 90 days | Responding to failures and investigating security incidents (see the Protection of Communications Secrets Act as a reference) |
| App error diagnostic information | 90 days from the date of collection | Identifying the cause of errors. This is the period set by the diagnostic service provider (Google) and the Company cannot adjust it |
| Inquiry/suggestion content and administrators' replies | 3 years from the date of last activity (also after withdrawal) | Record of responding to inquiries and responding to disputes |
| Mood posts and comments | Processed as deleted on withdrawal | No longer shown |
4. Chat messages
Chat messages are not deleted even when a member withdraws, so that the conversation partner can keep seeing the conversation. The withdrawn member can no longer use that chat room. Messages sent by a withdrawn member are stored together with the nickname at the time of sending, so that nickname may continue to be shown on the other party's screen.
When all participants in a chat room have withdrawn, there is no one left to view it, so the reason for keeping it disappears. In this case, 30 days after the last participant's withdrawal date, the messages and attachments of that chat room are destroyed together. However, if a report about that chat room is being handled or an investigative authority has requested data preservation, they are destroyed after that procedure ends.
5. User's request for deletion
When a user requests deletion of personal information, we delete it or process it so it cannot be recognized without delay, except for information that must be kept for legal reasons or to respond to disputes, as in item 3 above.
6. Destruction procedure and method
- Procedure: Personal information whose retention period has passed or whose processing purpose has been achieved is destroyed without delay (within 5 days at the latest) through the automatic deletion function or after confirmation by the person in charge. Information that must be kept under law is kept separately from other information and destroyed when that period ends.
- Method: Electronic files are deleted in a way that cannot be recovered, and information remaining in backups is deleted when the backup retention period ends. Paper documents are shredded or incinerated. For items processed so they cannot be recognized, the value is replaced with one that can no longer identify a specific individual.
7. Statistical information
Information processed anonymously so that no specific individual can be identified (for example, sign-up and usage statistics) may be used for improving the Service and compiling statistics even after the above retention periods have passed.
